Hi, I realize I'm a little late to comment on this, but I found your recipe through TasteSpotting, and I must say, these were so delicious! I posted about them on my blog, if you care to take a gander, and I linked back to your recipe. Thanks so much!!

Paula: Haha! Sounds like someone could use a little citrus sunshine. I just made a batch of marmalade today and think it might actually turn out ok. Email me your address and I'll see what I can do :-)

Okay, so how do I get invited over for this dinner? Hmmm, assuming you can't issue this invite or I can't make it, how do I get one of these gift baskets? I'm going thru a MAJOR citrus depression here!

Manggy: Not a fan of candy? Oh no!

Hmmm, curd could be good. We're having friends over for dinner next weekend and I'm thinking about making each guest a little gift basket to take home. It will include fresh oranges/lemons, a small orange cake, and a bag of chocolate covered peels. I might be able to use up a couple dozen doing this. If I add a jar of curd or marmalade, I can use up a few more!

"The day was beautiful and Carmel was relaxing, but all I could think about was how I would attempt making candied orange and lemon peel."
Nooo!! Don't get sucked in, Allen!

Heh heh. Anyway, I followed some other recipe that was about the same, but since I couldn't dry them out (ants. everywhere.), I just threw it in the fridge, syrup and all, and what I got in the end was this gooey marmalade-coated thing. I had no idea what to do with the rest of it, as I'm not a fan of candy. Sigh. (By the way, the recipe I followed calls for a little bit of the pith and fruit to be included, hmm)

Bottled lemon curd, give to neighbors (of course, you'd have to have hundreds of eggs too). Maybe you should quit consultancy after saving up a bit and set up a co-op or something :p You know, pottery classes, cooking, sewing, lemons for everybody, etc. :)
