I really like this one! The use of the 5 spice is brilliant. Pork and apples are such a classic combo, but you put a great spin on it.

These look great. And 5 spice powder was a brilliant choice. Try adding a little apple jelly next time. You'll be blown away.

Another great (original) dish, Allen! It's settled: all pant(r)ies bow down to you. That's a combination I love: pork and fruits. You might like to try this classic plating method: pile the fruits in a disc roughly the size of the chop, lay the chop on top, then pile the greens on top, finish with the sauce :)

For shame, Allen! (er... personal tirade? hahaha) Don't buy food for display! There's a shortage! (Ah, I see rice is a staple for you guys too ;)

That looks delicious! I love pork and apples. If you're looking for something to do with the rest of the granny's, if you look on my blog under tandoori chicken, there's a delicious apple yogurt slaw that goes along with the chicken, but would be good with a lot of other things, too.

Nice post!

apples & pork is a classic combination that for sure & i think that five spice powder sounds like the perfect seasoning for it. i have such a hard time with pork chops, seems no matter how hard I try they come out dry.
