Spending time in the kitchen is one of my passions, and I started Eating Out Loud (EOL) in March 2007 as a food blog to share my cooking and baking experiences. The site expanded in 2010 to include additional topics that are a part of my everyday life.
I offer a broad perspective, having grown up on a rural farm and now living in a large metro. I have fond memories of working on our family farm, but now enjoy the creature comforts of a concrete jungle. But, I do daydream about having a chicken coop and large garden. Maybe someday.
My entire life is spent online. After attaining my graduate degree in information science, I joined the internet industry where I’ve worked for many e-commerce companies, including eBay Inc. and shopping search engine TheFind.com. I am currently a freelance consultant in web product management and social media marketing. I am particularly skilled in data management and taxonomy, but most people’s eyes glaze over when I start talking about classification and categorization.

Product / Book Reviews
Although I love trying new products, I no longer accept products for review. Unfortunately, it’s time consuming to do a proper assessment that offers value to both the brand and my readers.
All the best,
