I am with the very proletariat Terra Firma Farm in Winters and I have to drive to the next town to pick it up... hmmm, in regards to sustainability, many cars driving to the pickup spot versus one truck driving to many spots to deliver... Also, nice that you can specify what you like and don't like. I have no idea what to do with them and I can't find them on the "do not send form" to get them off my list. It's amusing in a sad, annoyed way.

You get way cooler boxes though than I do! We get these big green reusable tubs. The rosemary gets place in the bottom of a grill-proof pan and the oil covered spears on top of it. Place it all on a hot grill. You have to turn the spears every 1-2 minutes to get them brown but not burnt. It was literally pouring down rain the day I made it and no one was willing to hold the umbrella as I turned the spears, but it was well worth the effort. Amazing how much of the rosemary essense got passed on!Paulahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17057118331699121742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21016738.post-18032576004583477462008-04-28T11:40:00.000-07:002008-04-28T11:40:00.000-07:00Well, I know I'm looking forward to the asparagus ...Well, I know I'm looking forward to the asparagus coming up here so I can make that Asparagus salad you took such a great picture of. I guess we now have half a share in a farm in Wisconsin. We won't get our first box until May but I just found out they'll also be giving us herbs to plant in the garden, I'm so excited.
