This morning I received a flyer informing me of a national food drive taking place this Saturday, May 10th.  The National Association of Letter Carriers is holding the "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive and all you need to do is leave a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox. Yesterday, I wrote about how to make paneer so today I'm going to show a dish using it as the main ingredient.  Once again, I turn to Ms. Anjum Anand for inspiration and guidance.  I've had a similar dish before in restaurants so was eager to try it at home.  It is a combination of spinach and paneer in a creamy sauce with garlic, ginger, and spices. Delightfully chewy and crisp, these Anzac cookies are my new favorite thing.  I've noted on several posts recently different 'crushes' I'm having for people and blogs.  Well folks, I've got to say that the Anzac cookie is my new cookie crush.

A few weeks ago I explored making and canning orange marmalade.  This week I decided to use my surplus strawberries to make fresh jam. The title is a bit misleading, eh?  Well, I had the best of intentions and set out to build a delightfully vegetarian lasagna.  I ran to the store to buy missing ingredients and immediately set to work on the lasagna assembly. A couple month's ago we were out shopping on the weekend and decided to grab a bite before heading home.  We opted for a small local chain called Straits Restaurant which offers modern Singaporean cuisine.
